Hermm...yesterday i went to Giant Bukit Tinggi for a lil' grocerries shopping and today i went to KLCC, Ampang Park and Midvalley for window shopping together with other things to settle out. Just wonder...masa nak raya aidilfitri haritu pun....yang memenuhkan tempat tempat ni almost 60-70% chinese. And the same scenery happen masa nak krimas and now chinese new year. It's not that i don't like chinese or what but it just made me think...melayu tak layak ke shopping kat tempat macam nih? Or tak mampu ke? Selalu tumpuan Melayu kat Jalan Masjid India and Jalan TAR. Tu pun nasib baik there're very few things yang chinese interested kat situ. But they still ade kat sana..tapi sikit lah. It made me see that Malays are still far behind chinese in term of jumlah pendapatan isi rumah. I'm not talking about the higher class of people but the middle class one. Tahla...i'm no genius in economic but i think most Malays in this middle class are lower-midlle class. Correct me if i'm wrong. With all the supports and subsidies from the government, we, Malays, in a way seems like satisfied with it. With all the hak keistimewaan pun kite masih jauh di belakang bangsa cina yang terpaksa melalui berbagai rintangan dalam biznezz and also for education. But they prove that they can make it. Maybe it's time for government to slowly pull back some of the special treatments for malays and bumi's. So that we, Malays, will actually realize...all these time we are so hang on to the 'tongkat'.
Sorry to you guys yang mungkin terasa but i wrote this for my own reminder too...coz i'm a malay and i myself also still too dependent to the government it self.
