How could they called themselves a leader???

I really got pissed off this night (eventhough I managed to escape from AI class in the evening). It happen when 2 students from our Student Council (MPP), who is obviously juniors (hey..its MPPÖwhat do you expect??) came into my room and asked for donation for Minggu Mesra Kampus!!! What on earth they were thinkiní??? I am in the most sophisticated instituition in Malaysia and the national papers said even in the world. The instituition is subsidized by the richest oil company in Asia and one of the big players in the industry in the world!! Each student pays RM1000 per year (please tell me if there any local university charged more or even equal to it) for co-curriculum activities!! And we end up collecting money from each other to hold the activities?? I really really mad!! Canít adapt the idea at all. Itís not that I canít donate but the objective of the donation can be accepted!
My friends and I end up asking the MPP and the MMK committees about this matter at the MPP chat room. We want explanations why on earth this ëgraceful tragedyí have to happen. Even though its not an official channel (but the name is official enuffÖ#mpputp) but the MPP person do discuss about their never ending meetings, their person incharge of that something invisible and other ëfun stuffí. When we asked, thereís a chatter who claim heís the member of the MMK Committee try to defend the funding matter. He canít even answer us clearly. Then thereís another chatter whois a pro-mpp-and-hope-to be-one-of-them interfere and scolding us for not being supportive and not alert with what happening in the campus. He even tried to lecture us about the MMK histories that he not even exist yet at UTP when the occasion took place (obviously we didÖwe are the ëseniorestí student)!!! And heís being so rude to us! That was not acceptable at all! Try to teach us about the MPP roleÖhow tired they areÖhow we should actually recognize themÖbla bla blaÖ HelloÖIíve been in this university for 4 yearsÖnot once the MPP really fight for us. If they do so, it was because they already being under a great pressure from us. They usually end up ìWhat the student service said is rightÖî ìThe student service know what the best for usÖî
How they could ever called themselves as a student leader??? They not standing up for the students. They should really thinking into changing the name of the council to Student Support & Services Department Council instead of Student Council. Iím not here to ban the Student Services but sometimes they donít really realized our needs and wants and our problems. Thatís why we need MPP to be the communication element between us, the students and them, the Student Services Department. I donít asked our MPP to be as strong and as influence as other local universities like UM (yeah..they are very powerful) and UiTM. What we want is just a council that could help us solve our problems with the university authorities so that the harmony relationship between students and university can be maintained!
If the MPP decides to go on sleeping in the day, thereís nothing I can do but pray that they will someday wake up and realize how big and heavy responsible they are carrying by accepting the positions. At the endÖthey the one whoíll feel miserable about it and feel shame!

oh hi. um... ya them MPP having plenty meetings. talking about the rising matters, that they brought to the management such as the wireless connection, recently (if ya noticed). you see, the (wireless) problem's like, ok most of us encounter with it still we have the LAN, it's not very much, see, but why them mpp took care of this prob? cuz students said to them and they fight for it. the thing is, such minor prob like this is sooo minor that people dont see much of the effect. (ya of course if no wireless, cable still there.) so there, people easily question of the mpp's integrity. like i said, the wireless matter is an example.
you said, that they're not standing up for students. hm... that's not true. they did their best, ya know. if you try to be in their shoes, then you'll know how hard it is to make things happen for us student. i know cuz i'm one of them rakanexco (meaning that i know how they're like). no, i'm not writing this because i'm one of 'em, no. before joining them mpps, me, like everyone else, despise mpp also.
oh yeah. we see that mpp from other U's are strong and not like ours, cuz they worked on harder matters, as far as i remember about residential probs and such. we hadn't such prob in UTP cuz our residential villages can accommodate enuf students, there always extra rooms! and our mpp, they worked on minor matter (ridiculous, more! again, the wireless prob example).
so if you really want to see our mpp as strong as them other U's, try give them harder issue lah. i can't think of any, i lived peaceful enough here, um despite the wireless connection.
